Is it just me or do weekends seem to be going by a little too quickly lately?! I had a pretty laid back weekend just catching up on some stuff around the house. I did run into Home Goods yesterday and I couldn’t believe what a winter wonderland it was! There were sooo many Christmas decorations out already and it made me even more excited for the Holidays.
I put together this super cute look that would be perfect for any Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving festivities you may have going on during these next few weeks! I absolutely love the way over the knee boots look with skirts and my Stuart Weitzman ones do not disappoint! I have had them for almost 3 years now and they have remained in great condition even though I do wear them a decent amount during the fall and winter months. They are definitely an investment piece but really are a great addition to your wardrobe. I will link all of my outfit details underneath the photos below!
Sooo my favorite time of year is upon us and one of the absolute best sales of the year is also here! This weekend Rouge members can get 20% off at Sephora- and if you are anything like me this is my time to stock up on some of my everyday holy grail beauty products! I listed out some of my recent purchases all of which are rebuys for me and products that I have tested and used for a while now.
1.) Wide Awake Brightening Cream- Okay so this is one of the best eye products I have ever used! I have used my fair share of eye creams and this one is one of the most effective. It’s super cooling under your eyes and goes on really well under makeup. The only downside to this product is the packaging. I wish it came in more of a little pot container because its hard to get all the product out. Other then that this is an awesome product!
2.) Ambient Lighting Bronzer– This is the ONLY bronzer I have used in probably over 2 years. It is super natural looking and doesn’t look orange on your skin. I also use it in both the summer and winter and it looks really natural during both seasons.
3.) Ole Henrikson Makeup Wipes– I get the 100 pack of these wipes because its such a good deal! You get 100 makeup wipes for $30 and they take your makeup off sooo easily and they make your skin feel so fresh and clean. These are great if you have dry or sensitive skin because they are infused with vitamins B, C and E which are all really good for your skin! They are also supposed to help if you have skin redness!
4.) Brazilian Bum Bum Cream– I used this cream all over my body before my wedding and it made my skin sooo soft and glowy. The price is a little steep for a jar of lotion but if you have a vacation or special event coming up this is worth the price! It is supposed to firm your skin and help with elasticity which is why It works so well.
5.) IGK Charcoal Dry Shampoo– This dry shampoo is AMAZING- I used to have to wash my hair almost everyday and now I can go three to four days without washing it. It sounds gross LOL but the charcoal helps absorb any oil in your scalp and makes your hair smell so good. It also has white tea powder in it to soothe your scalp. I also found out a few years ago the less you wash your hair the better. Not washing your hair keeps it shiny and strong so this dry shampoo has been a life saver for me. I have tried multiple drug store and department store dry shampoos but this one is hands down the best one.
6.) Resveratol Lift Face Cream– This product is something I started using pretty recently. I was using the La Mer soft cream for a while but at $300 a jar, it just wasn’t worth it anymore. I had a Sephora Associate recommend this product to me. She told me its very similar to the the La Mer soft cream and she was soo right. I might actually even like it better! It helps with fine lines and wrinkles, dry skin, and your skin’s elasticity. I have also found that it goes on so well under my makeup and could be used in place of a makeup primer.
Hope you guys find this article informative and as always I would be so happy to answer any questions anyone has at all! Please just leave a comment or send me an email!
Some of my David Yurman Bracelets! These seriously look identical to my Amazon find ones!
So it’s no lie I love my designer handbags and Jewelry but I recently came across some David Yurman inspired jewelry on Amazon and I was very pleasantly surprised! It looks almost identical to my Jewelry that is hundreds of dollars more and you can get almost the exact same looking jewelry for WAY less. I have a few pieces on the way to me. I love the way a few of the bracelets look stacked with each other. I also love to wear a watch with these bracelets I think it really adds to the look.
I also have been asked what I use to clean my jewelry. I have been using the Brilliant jewelry cleaner for years. I especially love it for my rings. It comes with a little basket that you let your rings sit in the solution for a few minutes and it also comes with a little brush to clean your jewelry off with after it cleans in the liquid. It also lasts a super long time and you cant beat the price! especially purchasing it on Amazon! I will link everything in my post!
We made it through another week and I wanted to get on here before the weekend starts and share probably my absolute FAVORITE outfit I have worn all season. I recently am finding myself becoming slightly hat obsessed! This beret will 100% be worn through the winter and holiday season. I think it adds the perfect amount of color to any outfit. My hat and scarf are both from H&M and were really good buys I think I got both for under $30?! Unfortunately it looks like my hat is already sold out though but there are sooo many similar ones on Amazon that I will link below! I’m also thinking about recreating this look with a buffalo plaid red scarf? How cute would that be!? My sweater is from Nordstrom and is very warm almost too warm for 60 degree weather so I am going to keep this sweater in mind for when we are sitting here in a foot of snow! My Jeans are also one of the best I own they are Levi’s and they are at a great price. They are seriously the most slimming black jeans I have ever owned-I will link all outfits details including my leopard mules. They are a little on the more expensive side but I have gotten so much use out of them. Everything is linked below as well as some similar items if you want to try to recreate my outfit!
My Husband and I recently traveled to Hawaii for our honeymoon and me saying it was AMAZING is an understatement. Hawaii was absolutely gorgeous and somewhere I can definitely see myself returning. We had a pretty long flight from NJ so we stopped of in San Francisco and stayed in Napa Valley for a few days after that we were on our way to our first stop, Maui!
I did a ton of research about all of the resorts that Maui had to offer. I knew we wanted to stay on the southern most part of Maui so I had narrowed it down to a few resorts there. (there are MANY resorts on the south side of Maui so this was pretty difficult) We chose to stay at the Four Seasons Maui and we are SO happy we did. The hotel, the service and the amenities the hotel had to offer were in my opinion unbeatable and surpassed my expectations completely. To start, as soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a fresh flower lei and my husband was given what is called a “Kukui Nut Lei” and we were given a glass of super refreshing mint lemonade. The entire check in process was very smooth and we were sent to our ocean front room. The view from our room was amazing. We were able to watch the sun set over the ocean every night which was one of my favorite things about Hawaii.
One of my favorite parts about the four Seasons was the Adult only serenity pool. It was a little difficult to get seats there everyday, but we loved it there because it never felt over crowded or loud. There is also a main pool and a smaller family pool area which we did sit by the main pool a few days and this was very nice as well. The resort is definitely pretty family friend but also really great for couples. The food was also soooo good and I was really happy they had so many healthy options. There was a juice bar downstairs in the hotel and I was so excited about this because I was able to start my day with a healthy breakfast without ever having to leave the resort. They also had a ton of gluten free and vegan options which you don’t see very often at hotels. Overall we had an amazing stay and I definitely will be returning!
Another really fun thing our hotel offered was different activities everyday of the week. We did a sushi making class that was paired with a Sake tasting lesson. We made California Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, as well as an assortment of Hand rolls and Salmon Nigiri. The class was provided by the Four Seasons Maui and they did an excellent job. It was a really fun experience to have especially in Hawaii where they have some of the best most fresh seafood!
I will touch a little on some of the outside restaurants we ate at as well. We tried a local sushi place one night down the road called Sansei. It was super casual and you can tell it was definitely a more local place, which we loved. We also really liked Nicks in the Fairmont as well as Monkeypod which was a short drive down the road from the hotel. The Four Seasons also had hotel cars and you could have the drivers drop you and pick you up from dinner each night or anywhere else you wanted to go within a few miles of the resort.
These are just some pictures of 0ur room and around the resort! As you can see everything is amazing. The bathroom was HUGE and gave us so much room to get ready. There were also six different music stations to chose from in the bathroom which was a really cool feature! If anyone has any questions about anything please feel free to email me or leave a comment and I will be sure to respond!
The next stop on our trop to Hawaii was in Waikiki beach on the Island of Oahu. This is very different from Maui. Its way more upbeat and more city like. I was really surprised to find out when we got there that there is the best shopping on the island. There is everything from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Valentino, to Nordstrom and Kate Spade. We chose to stay at the Halekulani which was a very nice hotel as well. It was really high tech and they had so many cool additions. It was also directly next to some of the best beaches in the world. We only spent 3 days here so we didn’t do as much as we did in Maui but I would definitely recommend hiking up diamond head mountain. It was a relatively short hike about an hour and a half but the view from the top is amazing. I will add some pictures below!
If anyone has any questions I would love to answer them! Just message me or send me an email!
I just recently purchased a pair of leggings made by Alo with the cutest leather looking paneling on them I purchased them in black but I loved them so much I bought them in the olive green color as well! They are a little pricey but I truly feel that the quality shows in these pants. I wore them on a hour flight recently and they were super comfortable. I will also link some other leggings I found that are very similar to mine but at a lower price point if you want to still get them same look of my outfit. There are definitely ways to still get this look at a lower cost. I paired my leggings with a black and white stripe top also from Amazon as well and you seriously cant beat the price of this top! it is almost a stretchy fabric but its soft and its also long enough to wear with leggings. This will definitely be a staple in my closet through the winter. It has been realllly chilly every morning here in New Jersey, so I also threw on this black vest for some extra warmth. My sunglasses are from Quay Australia and as you can tell I really love them since I wear them so much! I will link all of my Amazon finds below as well as some pictures.
My Alo leggings and stripe top are both from Amazon!
