Daily Planner– I have a monthly planner as well but there wasnt enough room for me to write what I had to do daily in there. I feel SOO much more organized having this and I am such a visual person i like to check things off as they are completed so this makes me feel so much more accomplished.
Aerie Offline Leggings– I wore these my entire pregnancy and now after. They are really stretchy and also so comfy. I love that they are also really affordable- I reach for these everyday so I like to have a few pairs incase one of them is in the wash! They also come in a bunch of colors and cute prints too!
Yeti Cup– Another must have for me. This is the reason why I drink so much water. I fill this cup with ice water and some lemon a few times a day and for some reason it just tastes better out of this cup LOL.
iwatch– So long story short I lost my watch a few months back and I realized how often I used it and how much I missed it when I didn’t have this. I mostly use it for tracking my steps and workouts but its good to have to see if texts/calls are coming through if I don’t have my phone on me.
Silk Hair tie– I have been using these for years. This is a less expensive version of the slip silk ones. I tie my hair back with this at night and keep one downstairs during the day. I like these because they keep my hair smooth and crease free!
The Sephora sale only happens a few times a year and I use it as a time to stock up on all my essentials and to also try out some new products since this is a HUGE discount for makeup items especially. I will name a few of my favorites and why I love them below. I am VERY selective when it comes to makeup and skincare so I really only talk about my absolute favorites in this post- most of the products in the first image are products I have been using for over a year most of them I have used for 3+ years and have tried out other products but keep coming back to these. I linked all my favorites below!
Hourglass Bronzer: I have literally tried 15+ different bronzers all at different price points. This one is not cheap but its the only one that does not make me look orange and I can use it all year long. This layers really nicely so if you want a little more color in the summer I can easily just add a little extra.
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: These is another splurge item but it smells SO good and it also gives me hair a textured almost messy (but still neat) look. I usually flip my head over and spray on my roots after I curly or blow dry and it adds a ton of volume.
IGK First Class dry Shampoo- this stuff is GOLD. I have tried every drug store dry shampoo and some dry bar ones and none of them even come close to this one. It doesn’t leave a white residue and it actually works. This has helped me go days in between washes.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation: this is a relatively new product for me but I absolutely love it. I wanted something I could wear daily and had a more buildable coverage and also something I could feel good about wearing on my skin daily. THIS IS IT! I have noticed such a huge difference in my skin after I started using this and I don’t worry about wearing it daily since it doesn’t clog your pores and is actually helping your skin.
These are just a few of my favorites! I linked some others below along with some new products I purchased to try out! The sale runs through April 19th so stock up now!
Throughout the years I have always had good and bad periods of time with my skin. One week it would be clear the next week I would be back to where I started. I never had bad acne but I have always struggled with breakouts and it was hard for me to get to the point where I felt ok leaving my house without makeup. Over the last few months especially I found my skin breaking out weekly. One patch of my skin would clear up and the next day there would be a whole new set of breakouts appearing.
Since I have been home so much more I thought maybe not wearing makeup would clear my skin up and make it healthy. This was actually the opposite. I started breaking out more- I thought maybe this is from stress. Then I realized since I wasn’t wearing makeup I wasn’t really cleaning my face and taking care of my skin as I normally would. I also found out that a-lot of the products I was using actually contain beneficial ingredients for your skin like vitamin C. Fast forward a month later. My skin has been so clear and I can really say I feel good about it. Since I had such a good experience with what I was doing I wanted to share it with you guys so maybe you would have the same experience as me!
1.) Celery Juice– I didn’t believe it would work and it was hard for me to believe all the benefits. I can truly say this has helped not only my skin but my energy levels are up and I feel good. I found the easiest way to make celery juice is to use a juicer. I got THIS one.
2.) Averr Aglow Skincare- I have been using the Clear Skin Elixir every other night for the last month. Let me tell you guys this stuff will make the difference. I saw my acne not only disappearing more quickly, but the scarring that is usually left behind from when I break out and discoloration was almost non existent. It’s is made with all natural and plant based ingredients as well so there are not harsh chemicals going into your body. I would use it every other night and put it on my skin before bed. I would sleep with it at night to get the full benefits. I highly highly recommend this product though it you have acne you are looking to clear up. I also got THIS makeup remover since I found a lot of makeup removers I was using were oily and causing my acne to flare up. The brand was also kind enough to give me a discount code for you guys its TARA15.
3.) Use a facial Toner! I have found that using a facial toner makes such a huge difference! It made my skin hydrated and not dry and dull looking- which was what I found was happening using a lot of acne clearing solutions. I use THIS ONE or you can make your own. I posted how I have made my own toner in this blog post HERE.
4.) Don’t Skip Sunscreen. Wear it everyday! Even in the Winter months. Not wearing sunscreen can cause acne scaring and major skin discoloration. I just started using the Tula Sunscreen in place of my primer and LOVE it. This sunscreen wont leave a white cast and it wont clog your pores- theres actually a ton of benefits to it! You can find it HERE and use the code TNSTYLED for 15% off.
5.) Sanitize! Wipe your phone down. People dont realize this but holding your phone up to your face causes oil to rub against it which in turn can cause your skin to breakout. So clean your phone and any other items that touch your face. I also use a Microneedler some nights- make sure you are cleaning stuff like this too. Same with your makeup brushes, beauty blenders and facial rollers!
I hope that some of these tips help anyone having the same struggles as I do. Follow me on instagram @tnstyled for more!
The Sephora sale doesn’t happen often so when it does, I make sure I stock up! The discount you get depends on your VIB status so for Rouge members you get 20% off, VIB’s get 15% of and that starts on Aprils 21st, and if you are an insider the sale starts on April 23rd and you get 10% off. So whatever your status there is a ton of savings potential!
I thought I would share some of my favorites with you guys! I have tried so many products out over the years and have learned so much about makeup and what I like and what works for me. My skin is a a combination of dry and oily so I find that depending on how my skin is, different things work at different times of the year for me. I also have so many products that I love so I tend to rotate products and swap some out!
2.) ILLUSION TINTED MOSITURIZER– This is one of the only basically full coverage tinted moisturizers with SPF I have found. I got this before I went away last month and have been hooked since. It also has hyaluronic acid in it so it helps to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. I use this mostly when going outside in the summer!
3.)NARS TINTED MOISTURIZER– I love this during the winter months because of how moisturizing it is. This is great if you like the dewey skin look!
4.) HOURGLASS BRONZER– This is the only bronzer I will ever recommend. I am sure there are other great options out there but this is my go to and I have repurchased multiples times. It also last soooo long I usually go about 6-8 months without having to repurchase.
5.) BECCA BLUSH- I use shade “songbird” and its the perfect peach shade! It has a little bit of shimmer in it but its just he right amount!
6.) NARS LIQUID BLUSH- I just purchased this a few weeks ago and WOW I LOVE it sooo much. I use it more so on days that I want that “no makeup” look and feel. It’s highly pigmented yet still natural looking.
7.) DIOR FOREVER SKIN CONCEALER– I use this under my eyes and its one of the best I’ve used I also love THIS one but it unfortunately is not sold at Sephora so not apart of the sale. THIS is another one I have used in the past and like as well.
1.) CHARLOTTE TILBURY CREAM EYESHADOW- Let me just say I really don’t enjoy putting eye make up. Probably why I love getting eyelash extensions LOL but if I do wear shadow this is what I grab. It so easy to put on and gives the most gorgeous glow to your eyes! I use shade “jean” its a good neutral and not too dramatic!
2.) NAKED BASICS PALETTE– This is a great palette to own. Its all basic neutral shade. I use the black shadow and an eyeliner some days that I just want a very subtle liner look. The browns in here are all great for the outer corners of your eyes. I also just ordered THIS palette and will review when it comes in!
3.) KAT VON D TATTOO LINER– This is another one of those products that I refuse to stop using. It lets you get super precise with your eye liner and it very easy to use.
4.) LANCOME CILS BOOSTER XL– I just purchased this a few weeks ago and wow seriously this stuff is GOOOD- my lashes look long and healthy when I use this under my mascara. It is also filled with vitamins to help your lashes stay moisturized so huge plus there as well.
5.) LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA– I have tried many many mascaras over the years. This one is by far my favorite. I also like THIS one and THIS one and will alternate some months, but the Lancome one is my go to.
1.) IGK FIRST CLASS DRY SHAMPOO– I have been using this dry shampoo for the last year or so and It doesn’t leave a white residue at all. I usually use it at night and my hair looks like new in the morning. I also just ordered THIS one since I have been try to use all natural products. I will let you guys know how I like it once it comes in!
2.) ALTERNA CAVIAR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER– This stuff has been in my shampoo rotation for the last few years. I think it really makes my hair look and feel healthy. I also rotate in THIS one. I think both are great products and make your hair shiny and healthy looking!
3.) BRIGEO DEEP CONDITIONER HAIR MASK– I use this stuff once and week and it really does an amazing job! it hydrates and has been clinically proven to help with reduction in hair breakage. I also just ordered THIS one which I haven’t tried but have heard good things!
4.) OLAPLEX HAIR PERFECTOR #3– I use this when my hair is looking dry and dull. It helps to strengthen and protect your hair and restores it back to that healthy appearance and texture! It also good for all types and textures of hair!
5.) THE ORDINARY- MULTI-PEPTIDE HAIR SERUM– This stuff supports hair health so it looks thicker, stronger and healthy. I use this usually once a week and drop a few drops into my scalp. The directions say you dont have to wash it out- but I found it makes my hair look pretty greasy so I tend to put it in my hair on night that I plan to wash my hair in the AM.
So I know a lot of us are stuck at home and looking for something to do so I wanted to share some of my at home beauty hacks with products most of us keep in our homes on a regular basis.
1.) Cinnamon + Honey + Coconut oil Hair Mask– I swear by this hair mask! Melt the coconut oil, add in a little honey and some cinnamon and put it on your scalp. The cinnamon will help to stimulate your scalp and promote hair growth! Make sure to wash it out good after and I usually put some deep conditioner on the ends after!
2.) Coffee grounds + Coconut Oil Scrub– Okay so this stuff is my most recent discovery. It’s a little messy, BUT it really helps to smooth your skin. Mix up some ground up coffee and coconut oil. The coffee grounds are great since they have caffeine in them it helps to almost wake your skin up and can help with cellulite!
3.) Castor Oil + Mascara Bottle – I have been using THIS castor oil on my lashes for years! I found a way to make it a little less messy too. I purchased THESE little mascara bottles on amazon and put the castor oil in them. It makes it super easy to put on your lashes. Castor oil is also great to put on your eye brows and scalp!
4.) Witch Hazel + Tea Tree Oil + Rosewater Facial Astringent– I started making this to help with my oily skin and Acne. I mix equal parts witch hazel and rose water and then I add a few drops of tea tree oil. I keep this in a spray bottle and spray it over my face at night and in the morning. Its also great to spray over your makeup throughout the day almost like a setting spray and its super refreshing!
The Sephora sale happens usually twice a year and its the time you want to stock up on all the goods! I literally buy so much stuff during this sale because you are getting amazing products that usually NEVER go on sale. The sale begins Tomorrow and will go as follows. VIB Rouge April 26th- May 2nd with a 20% discount, VIB status starts May 2nd to May 6th with a 15% discount and regular insider members sale start May 2nd as well and receive those members will receive 10% discount. I am going to list out some of my absolute favorite skincare items for you guys! I will be doing another post later this week with all my favorite Makeup and Hair care products as well.
I could probably go on for DAYS about skincare because its something I am so passionate about. SO with that being said I will stick to my holy grail items that I find myself continuously purchasing.
Tatcha Face Wash and Murad Acne Cleanser– I use both of these products interchangeably. I honestly like both equally, but if you have skin prone to breakouts I would definitely go for the Murad! It’s super gentle on your skin and doesn’t cause dryness. I also love that it double as an anti-aging face wash since you don’t see acne/anti-aging products in one very often. The Tatcha Face wash is also a favorite of mine. It is great for cleaning out your pores and and keeping your skin soft and hydrated.
La Mer Moisturizing Cream– this cream is a MAJOR splurge for me and I usually rotate this one out with the Tatcha Dewey Skin Cream. This cream though guys!!!! It’s AMAZING. I used this cream for the few months leading up to my wedding and my skin never looked so good. So I would recommend using this cream if you have a big event to attend coming up and want your skin to be glowing!
Tatcha Dewey Skin Cream– This cream does exactly what it says it does. It gives your skin that “dewy” glow and has some amazing benefits. it has an ingredient called Japanese Purple Rice it is packed with nutrients and known for its ability to survive any harsh environment. This cream is rich in anthocyanin, a strong antioxidant, it helps skin recover from and protect against stress, pollution, and UV damage which in turn leads to healthier younger looking skin!
Ole Henkrikson Makeup Wipes– I use these every night. They smell so good and soothe your skin. You can also get a pack of $100 for $30 bucks which is kind of awesome!
Glam Glow Face Masks– I have been using this face mask literally since my Freshman year of college 8 years ago! This is my go to face mask when my skin is out of wack. I find that it helps so many different types of skin issues and actually makes your skin glow! It helps pores, acne, oily skin and it also is amazing if you have an ingrown hair or razor bumps. If you get one product from the Sephora sale i would highly highly recommend this one! It is on the pricey side for a skin mast but its worth every penny! Its a great treat for your skin once a week.
Bye Bye Under Eye– My under eye area is SUPER sensitive. This is one of the only eye creams that doesn’t make me break out and make my under eye area red. It is really gentle and also works really well at getting ride of dark circles, fine lines and under eye puffiness. Another favorite of mine is the first aid beauty eye cream you can get HERE
Goddess Face Mask– This is another face mask that I found pretty recently but have been loving so far. It is great for sensitive skin and makes your skin SO soft. It also helps with skin elasticity. It has also been called Charolotte Tibury’s red carpet secret!
Origins Ginzing Moisturizer – This moisturizer is a favorite of mine during the summer months. It is sooo refreshing on your skin and very lightweight, making it perfect for the warmer weather months when you don’t want your skin to feel hot and sticky. It is under $30 and also smells amazing!
Laneige Lip Mask– Last but not least! This Lip mask is the best! It has lasted me such a long time and you truly wake up with the softest lips. It helps with fine lines In your lips which is so important. I was told once that we care so much about the skin on our face and use so many products to keep it looking young and healthy, but how often do you think about fine lines on your lips? Since then I use this product every night and absolutely love it. I also saw that they now make it in vanilla flavor! Trying this next!
