Sephora Sale Skincare Favorites

The Sephora sale happens usually twice a year and its the time you want to stock up on all the goods! I literally buy so much stuff during this sale because you are getting amazing products that usually NEVER go on sale. The sale begins Tomorrow and will go as follows. VIB Rouge April 26th- May 2nd with a 20% discount, VIB status starts May 2nd to May 6th with a 15% discount and regular insider members sale start May 2nd as well and receive those members will receive 10% discount. I am going to list out some of my absolute favorite skincare items for you guys! I will be doing another post later this week with all my favorite Makeup and Hair care products as well.

I could probably go on for DAYS about skincare because its something I am so passionate about. SO with that being said I will stick to my holy grail items that I find myself continuously purchasing.

Tatcha Face Wash and Murad Acne Cleanser– I use both of these products interchangeably. I honestly like both equally, but if you have skin prone to breakouts I would definitely go for the Murad! It’s super gentle on your skin and doesn’t cause dryness. I also love that it double as an anti-aging face wash since you don’t see acne/anti-aging products in one very often. The Tatcha Face wash is also a favorite of mine. It is great for cleaning out your pores and and keeping your skin soft and hydrated.

La Mer Moisturizing Cream– this cream is a MAJOR splurge for me and I usually rotate this one out with the Tatcha Dewey Skin Cream. This cream though guys!!!! It’s AMAZING. I used this cream for the few months leading up to my wedding and my skin never looked so good. So I would recommend using this cream if you have a big event to attend coming up and want your skin to be glowing!

Tatcha Dewey Skin Cream– This cream does exactly what it says it does. It gives your skin that “dewy” glow and has some amazing benefits. it has an ingredient called Japanese Purple Rice it is packed with nutrients and known for its ability to survive any harsh environment. This cream is rich in anthocyanin, a strong antioxidant, it helps skin recover from and protect against stress, pollution, and UV damage which in turn leads to healthier younger looking skin!

Ole Henkrikson Makeup Wipes– I use these every night. They smell so good and soothe your skin. You can also get a pack of $100 for $30 bucks which is kind of awesome!

Glam Glow Face Masks– I have been using this face mask literally since my Freshman year of college 8 years ago! This is my go to face mask when my skin is out of wack. I find that it helps so many different types of skin issues and actually makes your skin glow! It helps pores, acne, oily skin and it also is amazing if you have an ingrown hair or razor bumps. If you get one product from the Sephora sale i would highly highly recommend this one! It is on the pricey side for a skin mast but its worth every penny! Its a great treat for your skin once a week.

Bye Bye Under Eye– My under eye area is SUPER sensitive. This is one of the only eye creams that doesn’t make me break out and make my under eye area red. It is really gentle and also works really well at getting ride of dark circles, fine lines and under eye puffiness. Another favorite of mine is the first aid beauty eye cream you can get HERE

Goddess Face Mask– This is another face mask that I found pretty recently but have been loving so far. It is great for sensitive skin and makes your skin SO soft. It also helps with skin elasticity. It has also been called Charolotte Tibury’s red carpet secret!

Origins Ginzing Moisturizer – This moisturizer is a favorite of mine during the summer months. It is sooo refreshing on your skin and very lightweight, making it perfect for the warmer weather months when you don’t want your skin to feel hot and sticky. It is under $30 and also smells amazing!

Laneige Lip Mask– Last but not least! This Lip mask is the best! It has lasted me such a long time and you truly wake up with the softest lips. It helps with fine lines In your lips which is so important. I was told once that we care so much about the skin on our face and use so many products to keep it looking young and healthy, but how often do you think about fine lines on your lips? Since then I use this product every night and absolutely love it. I also saw that they now make it in vanilla flavor! Trying this next!

Austin Texas Travel Guide

JEANS: Express Mid Rise (wearing a size 0) | SWEATSHIRT: Spiritual Gangster (wearing XS) | SNEAKERS: Adidas Cloudfoam Sneakers

My husband and I recently spent a long weekend in Austin, Texas and it was such a vibrant and fun city- not to mention the AMAZING food. We absolutely love to see new places and try the different foods each city has to offer so we were really in for a treat! I am going to split this post up because its going to be a long one. So in this post I will be talking about our favorite restaurants. I will also do a post on things to do/places to stay in Austin next week so stay tuned! Austin is definitely known to be more of a party city. There were tons of bachelor and bachelorette parties going on which was so fun to see- and if you know me you know I talk to EVERYONE so I obviously had to join in on the fun and talk to all of the bride to be’s. Austin was named one of the top up and coming cities that millennial’s are moving to. I also learned that there are TONS of tech companies located in Austin, there are so many new job opportunities in the city as well.

Restaurants

We ate at some really great places, but I will give you guys my favorites! Texas is known for their BBQ and their Tex-Mex. I will be honest with you BBQ has never been a favorite of mine. I will eat it but don’t love it. But since we were in Texas, you know we had to try some good BBQ.

Lunch/Brunch Places

Caroline– this was probably my favorite place. The atmosphere was SO cute and it is located right downtown in a really good locations, so it is easy to get to from wherever you are. The food was really good as well. They had a lot of Texas staples on their menu as well as some classic items such as Pancakes which my Husband had and they were sooo good. I had the Huevos Rancheros which was something we saw at a lot of places in Austin. It was really fun to see how each restaurant had a different take on the dish. The other thing I loved about this place was that they were not only a restaurant, they had a full bar upstairs in a really cute setting and they are also a coffee house. This is definitely a must if you are visiting Austin!

Josephine House– We came to this place for Sunday Brunch and it was so cute! I didn’t love the location of it since it was not walking distance from our hotel, but the food was really good and the place was very quaint. They had a really cute outdoor patio to eat on with heat lamps and umbrellas so this place is so perfect for a Spring day in Austin.

Terry Blacks BBQ– We were told this was the best BBQ in Austin so we had to try it! There is also Franklin BBQ but the line there is CRAZY always so we went to Terry Blacks instead. For not being a BBQ lover this place was pretty good. My husband and I split some Brisket and a few sides. The atmosphere of the place was really casual and a great place to bring kids.

Dinner Places

Lamberts– We went here our first night in Austin and we LOVED it. I preferred this to Terry Blacks personally because I am all about atmosphere when I go out. Its located right downtown so it was walking distance from our hotel and was decorated so nicely inside. The food was also AMAZING. I loved that the portions weren’t huge- but definitely big enough to the point where I couldn’t finish my meal.

ATX Cocina– This was my favorite place we ate at in Austin. It is an authentic Tex Mex restaurant. They serve there food in a Tapas form or small plate form so you can order 4-6 items off the menu and they bring them out to you in courses. We had a ton of fresh fish and empanadas and not to mention their margaritas (heart eyes!) they were soooo good.

Emmer & Rye– This restaurant is located in the Rainey Street district of Austin. This area is known for all of its bars that were once actually homes and converted into bars. It is such a cute area! This is a farm-to-table small plates restaurant. The portions are not huge but they are all so well made and absolutely delicious. Their menu is also seasonal with nightly specials so they use the absolute freshest ingredients which is something I love and truly believe it can make or break a meal! Some of the items we ordered were cauliflower butter and bread, caramelized beets, homemade rigatoni, short ribs and a chocolate mouse for dessert!

Coffee/Breakfast Tacos

So Texas is apparently known for their breakfast Tacos. In New Jersey this is not something you come by often, but in Austin any place that sold breakfast food had some type if not multiple types of breakfast tacos. Hey, I am definitely not complaining at all about this I would eat tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could lol! Some of our favorite coffee places were Houndsooth Coffee, Radio Coffee and Jo’s Coffee (this is the place with the famous “I Love You” mural. For breakfast Tacos our favorite place was Torchy’s Tacos! There was also Salt Lick Tacos and Taco Deli which are places to try as well.

Neutral Spring Outfit

TOP: STATE Floral Lace-Inset Top [wearing size XS] | JOGGERS: Loft from last season ; SIMILAR HERE | SHOES: Steve Madden

I absolutely love my neutrals! I have been starting to realize that basically my entire closet is all neutral colors so I’ve been trying to change things up for Spring, but FIRST I had to post this adorable neutral outfits. This shirt is so dainty and has the most gorgeous lace inset.

My Joggers are from last season, but I found an extremely similar pair that are also on sale for under $60. I paired these with a simple pair of nude strappy heeled sandals. This is such a cute simple look and I think it will be a great option for date night, brunch or really anything that you can throw a pair of heels on for. I love that this can be super casual or dressed up a bit with some earrings.

Camo Joggers and Bodysuit

BODUYSUIT: ASOS Bodysuit [wearing size XS] | JOGGERS: Paige Camo [pricey but so cute!] similar less expensive HERE | HEELS: Sold out but similar HERE | LIPS: Charlotte Tilbury ‘Kim KW’ |

I absolutely LOVE joggers lately! I usually am not able to wear many joggers because I am pretty petite at 5’3 but these fit so well! I would recommend sizing down since the waist was a little loose on these. I paired this with a black bodysuit and plan on pairing it with a short sleeved bodysuit when the weather gets warmer.

I also am going to link up some of my other favorite joggers for the spring! Any of these would pair so well with a pair of wedges, heels or even a cute pair of flat sandals to dress the outfit down a little.

I picked up this cute little sweater the other day and I absolutely am loving it for Spring. I am really liking the lace detail on this sweater- and just lace in general lately. I think it looks so delicate and adds to any outfit. I also love that this sweater can be work as an off the shoulder sweater and I think it would even look really cute with a lace tank underneath.

I paired this sweater with my absolute favorite sunglasses! They are Quay and only $65- I recently just started wearing Quay sunglasses and I was very pleasantly surprised at what good quality they are and how many new styles they are constantly coming out with. I also with touch really quickly on my shoes- they are only available in limited sizes but I am hoping for a restock soon! I linked up some similar options from Amazon.
