I normally don’t make a huge deal for sales other then black Friday throughout the year- but the #NSALE is probably my favorite sale of the entire year! You get access to NEW items at majorly discounted prices. The Nordstrom Anniversary sale will be running from August 4th (for select cardmembers) through August 30th. I included the sale start dates depending on what level you are at Nordstorms. I went through the thousands of items included in the sale and picked some favorites. Keep in mind that these items are not available until the sale starts! These items will sell out FAST. So I suggest adding your favorite items to your wish list and shopping ASAP when the sale starts!
I remember growing up I used to LOVE when my mom and grandma would make homemade ice pops on a hot summer day. They used to put whatever juice was in the fridge in ice pop trays and my siblings and I would literally go crazy over them. Such a simple thing! I wanted to create some yummy ice pops since its been so hot out here. I wanted something a little sweet though and these came out perfect!
1/2 Cup Nutella (or any chocolate hazelnut spread)
1 1/2 Cup Chocolate Almond Milk
( you can also add in a little greek yogurt to get some added protein!)
Take the half cup of nutella and put in a mixing bowl. Then slowly whisk in the chocolate almond milk. Pour into silicone ice pop trays (I find these work the best) The recipe yields about 4-5 ice pops so I usually will double the recipe to make some extra!
I am a sucker for anything buffalo! My weakness is definitely buffalo chicken dip😅 so I wanted to do a skinny version! And best part is its cooked in a crock pot so you don’t have to dirty dishes OR stand over the stove. You basically just throw everything in and let it cook. SO simple and yummy.
- 2-3 (about 1.5lbs) Chicken Breasts (or rotisserie chicken shredded)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 Cup Franks Red Hot Buffalo Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 Cup non-fat Greek Yougurt
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons dry ranch seasoning/mix
1.) Cook your chicken in the crockpot for about 4 hours on high or 6-7 on low. If you are using precooked rotisserie chicken you just have to shred it. (if you are using precooked rotisserie chicken you dont need the crock pot you can just do the following steps in a pot on the stove)
2.) Once the chicken is cooked, shred it. Empty out the excess water the chicken cooked in. Once emptied, add in the rest of your ingredients. Stir together and let cook together on low for about 30-45 minutes.
3.) Serve with Tortilla chips, carrots, Celery, pita chips, potato wedges or my new favorite is have the buffalo dip in a taco wrap! SO good and makes for a perfect dinner.
The most simple OOTD! Wanted to pop in and give you guys some Tuesday inspo! I have actually had this dress for 2+ years now and I am constantly finding myself wearing it. It is easy and comfy to throw on, flattering and on sale for under $40 right now! Such a steal! My husband and I love to snack on Nachos (particularly loaded nachos😂) so I wanted to find a way to make this snack a little bit on the healthier side. I remember years ago making this recipe and while I was grocery shopping I cam across these mini bell peppers and I thought this would be so appropriate since Cinco De Mayo is this week!
This recipe is super easy and very adaptable to whatever you might have in your pantry. There are so many variations you can do – and it will be soo good with whatever is on it! I had some ground beef (I usually opt for ground turkey) cheddar cheese, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno peppers and guacamole. You can easily add black beans, salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce or so many other different things. You can also make this vegetarian by not using any meat and adding in some refried beans!
Homemade Healthy Nacho Recipe
- Mini Bell Peppers
- Ground Beef or Turkey
- Taco Seasoning
- Shredded Cheese (I used cheddar)
- Diced Tomato
- Diced Onion
- Jalapeno peppers sliced
- Other Ideas- Salsa, Sour Cream, Cilantro, Shredded Lettuce, Beans
1.) Preheat oven to 400 Degrees. Wash and Slice your peppers and arrange on a baking sheet. Make sure to keep them pretty close together since when you load them up with the beef and toppings it wont get all over the sheet pan.
2.) Brown your meat and add in the taco seasoning. I like to make sure the meat is cooked through since these only bake for about 10 minutes in the oven. Put the browned meat on top of the peppers on the sheet pan and add your cheese. Bake in the oven for 8-12 Minutes until cheese is melted and peppers are slightly soft.
3.) Time to add your toppings! Add all your cold toppings and top with some guacamole. You can use store bought or make your own. I made my own and used Avocado, Lime Juice, red onion, tomato, salt and pepper. I normally will add cilantro but was all out. And you are all set! Such a fun little lunch or snack.
