Shoes are probably by far one of my favorite things to style and accessorize with! I will be the first to admit I have way too many pairs. I rounded up some of my favorite designer shoes and designer dupes in this post! This was by far one of my favorite posts to put together. A lot of these shoes I own both the designer pair and the dupe paid. I will say that you get what you pay for. So I am a believer in investing in the classic items and saving on the more trendy items and this definitely goes for shoes as well.

Lastly, THESE Gucci mules have caught my eye soo many times but I just am not able to splurge on them yet because THESE Sam Edelman mules are literally the BEST. I wear them allll the time. I wear them to work or if I need to throw on a pair of shoes quick. They are super comfy too.

Sephora Sale Makeup Must Haves💄💋

The Sephora sale doesn’t happen often so when it does, I make sure I stock up! I thought I would share some of my favorites with you guys! I have tried so many products out over the years and have learned so much about makeup and what I like and what works for me. My skin is a a combination of dry and oily so I find that depending on how my skin is, different things work at different times of the year for me. I also have so many products that I love so I tend to rotate products and swap some out!

FACE MAKEUP

1.) NARS NAUTRAL RADIANT LONGWEAR FOUNDATION- This stuff is my go to #1 foundation. I wear this when we are going out or want my skin to look flawless. It also lasts for HOURS.

2.) ILLUSION TINTED MOSITURIZER– This is one of the only basically full coverage tinted moisturizers with SPF I have found. I got this before I went away last month and have been hooked since. It also has hyaluronic acid in it so it helps to diminish fine lines and wrinkles. I use this mostly when going outside in the summer!

3.)NARS TINTED MOISTURIZER– I love this during the winter months because of how moisturizing it is. This is great if you like the dewey skin look!

4.) HOURGLASS BRONZER– This is the only bronzer I will ever recommend. I am sure there are other great options out there but this is my go to and I have repurchased multiples times. It also last soooo long I usually go about 6-8 months without having to repurchase.

5.) BECCA BLUSH- I use shade “songbird” and its the perfect peach shade! It has a little bit of shimmer in it but its just he right amount!

6.) NARS LIQUID BLUSH- I just purchased this a few weeks ago and WOW I LOVE it sooo much. I use it more so on days that I want that “no makeup” look and feel. It’s highly pigmented yet still natural looking.

7.) DIOR FOREVER SKIN CONCEALER– I use this under my eyes and its one of the best I’ve used I also love THIS one but it unfortunately is not sold at Sephora so not apart of the sale. THIS is another one I have used in the past and like as well.

EYE MAKEUP

1.) CHARLOTTE TILBURY CREAM EYESHADOW- Let me just say I really don’t enjoy putting eye make up. Probably why I love getting eyelash extensions LOL but if I do wear shadow this is what I grab. It so easy to put on and gives the most gorgeous glow to your eyes! I use shade “jean” its a good neutral and not too dramatic!

2.) NAKED BASICS PALETTE– This is a great palette to own. Its all basic neutral shade. I use the black shadow and an eyeliner some days that I just want a very subtle liner look. The browns in here are all great for the outer corners of your eyes. I also just ordered THIS palette and will review when it comes in!

3.) KAT VON D TATTOO LINER– This is another one of those products that I refuse to stop using. It lets you get super precise with your eye liner and it very easy to use.

4.) LANCOME CILS BOOSTER XL– I just purchased this a few weeks ago and wow seriously this stuff is GOOOD- my lashes look long and healthy when I use this under my mascara. It is also filled with vitamins to help your lashes stay moisturized so huge plus there as well.

5.) LANCOME HYPNOSE DRAMA MASCARA– I have tried many many mascaras over the years. This one is by far my favorite. I also like THIS one and THIS one and will alternate some months, but the Lancome one is my go to.

HAIR PRODUCTS

1.) IGK FIRST CLASS DRY SHAMPOO– I have been using this dry shampoo for the last year or so and It doesn’t leave a white residue at all. I usually use it at night and my hair looks like new in the morning. I also just ordered THIS one since I have been try to use all natural products. I will let you guys know how I like it once it comes in!

2.) ALTERNA CAVIAR SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER– This stuff has been in my shampoo rotation for the last few years. I think it really makes my hair look and feel healthy. I also rotate in THIS one. I think both are great products and make your hair shiny and healthy looking!

3.) BRIGEO DEEP CONDITIONER HAIR MASK– I use this stuff once and week and it really does an amazing job! it hydrates and has been clinically proven to help with reduction in hair breakage. I also just ordered THIS one which I haven’t tried but have heard good things!

4.) OLAPLEX HAIR PERFECTOR #3– I use this when my hair is looking dry and dull. It helps to strengthen and protect your hair and restores it back to that healthy appearance and texture! It also good for all types and textures of hair!

5.) THE ORDINARY- MULTI-PEPTIDE HAIR SERUM– This stuff supports hair health so it looks thicker, stronger and healthy. I use this usually once a week and drop a few drops into my scalp. The directions say you dont have to wash it out- but I found it makes my hair look pretty greasy so I tend to put it in my hair on night that I plan to wash my hair in the AM.

California Roll Bowls 🍣

Super easy dinner idea alert! ⚠️ I have been making these bowls for years! They are basically a poke bowl- but I like to call them California Roll bowls since I think its more catchy LOL! If you ask my husband what he wants for dinner the answer will always be these bowls! He LOVES them and he also likes how easy they are and the no clean up/mess part.

California Roll Bowl Recipe

INGRIEDIENTS:

Serves 2-3

  • Rice (we usually make about a cup)
  • Avocado (sliced)
  • Mini Cucumbers (chopped)
  • imitation crab
  • 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2-1 Tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • Sesame Seeds
  • Optional- Soy Sauce and Ginger

DIRECTIONS:

1.) Cook your rice according the the package. You can season with rice vinegar but this totally isn’t necessary! I usually don’t and go with jasmine or basmati rice since I like the flavor more.

2.) Cut up your cucumbers and crab and slice your avocado. Mix together your Mayonnaise and sriracha sauce. You can add a little extra or a little less depending on how spicy you like it.

3.) Once you rice is done cooking separate the rice out into 2 bowls. Add in your Avocado, Cucumber and crab. Top it with the Mayonnaise mixture (I like to put this in a ziplock bag and cut the end to distribute evenly) Add on your sesame seeds and you are done! You can also top with ginger and soy sauce depending on what you like!

Healthy Snack Ideas🍕🍓🥨

Okay, so I can’t be the only one non-stop snacking since being home so much. Anyone else? or is it just me 😅 I wanted to put together a few items that I keep in my house and on hand for when the snack cravings hit! Also- most of these items can be ordered online so you don’t have to step foot in a grocery store.

1.) OWYN Protein Shake– These are THE BEST. It took me a very long time to find a plant based protein shake that I actually enjoyed. Many of them have weird aftertastes and are high in sugar. This one tastes amazing (chocolate and vanilla are my favorite flavors) and my husband loves them too. I can never keep these stocked in our fridge since they go so fast!

2.) Caulipower Brand Items- I try to eat lower carb most days (not always but I try when I can!) and the pizzas and chicken tenders from this brand are so good. We actually just did these chicken tenders in the air fryer the other day and wow they were so good you could not tell thee coatings was made from cauliflower and not breadcrumbs at all and super crispy! Another item they have that I love are the Caulipower Tortillas!

3.) Foodstirs– this brand makes cookie/brownie/cakes mixes that are all lower in sugar then normal mixes and they are also made with all organic and non-GMO ingredients. They have a lot of kid and family friends baking mixes that would be fun to do as a family! We are making the snickerdoodle blondies tonight for dessert!

4.) Safe + Fair– If you have not heard of this brand before I would highly recommend checking them out! They make food products that are clean and allergen free. Everything is always directly written on the label. They have the best granola! If you have allergies this is an awesome option for granola (and other products as well) since many times granola can contain nuts and seeds or be cross contaminated in the factory they are made in. 5.) Oats Overnight– This brand sells oats in a little package that you just mix with your favorite type of milk. They are very high in protein and make a great breakfast or snack. My favorite flavor is the strawberries and cream!

6.) Go Macro Bars– I have been eating these for year. I always keep them on hand especially when I am traveling. I usually keep one in my bag at all times to grab if I am out and about and want a quick bite!

7.) Berries + Chocolate Chips- so this is a new found favorite. I take usually a raspberry or sliced strawberries and mix them with a few Dark chocolate chips! (love THESE ones) This is such a quick and easy snack and satisfies my sweet tooth!

Happy Weekend Everyone! I had to come on here and share these joggers with you all since they are SOO good. They aren’t thick winter sweats there more like buttery soft Spring/Summer joggers. These have been my go to since I have been working from home for the last few weeks. I totally am all for the comfy clothes since I have been home, but some days I want to feel put together. So I thought it would be fun to style these joggers a few different ways!

Eight Tips for A Better Nights Sleep🌙😴

I have struggled with sleeping at night for YEARS. I would wake up throughout the night multiple times or have trouble falling asleep. Especially during stressful times in my life, I used to find myself getting very little sleep throughout the night. So, I wanted to get a post together with some things that I do to help calm my mind at night and help me to get the best nights sleep I can.

1.) ZzzQuil Pure Zzz’s- THIS STUFF wow I literally can’t recommend it more. It seriously has helped me to sleep through the night so much better than I ever have before. It’s non habit forming and I don’t feel like I need it to sleep, but I definitely think its helps so much. Theres also no next day grogginess at least from my experience. It also has Chamomile and Lavender in it which also promotes healthy sleep. I obviously am not a doctor so I would say consult with your physician before you start using this, but the main ingredient is melatonin and one gummy is only 1 gram so its a super minimal amount.

2.) Oil Diffuser + Lavender Oil– I love to turn on my oil diffuser at night before I go to sleep. I have been using THIS lavender oil and have also been loving THIS oil. Lavender oil has a ton of benefits including research that has shown it is useful in treating anxiety, depression, insomnia and restlessness and it also smells AMAZING.

3.) Face Masks+ Chamomile Tea– I found THESE face masks a while back and they are soo relaxing and smell so good. I try to do this once a week usually on a Sunday before the work week starts. A face mask and a cup of Chamomile tea seriously is the most relaxing thing! Anything warm at night is soothing and promotes sleep (just make sure its caffeine free!)

4.) Keep a humidifier running at night. This has helped me especially in the winter months when the heat makes our house super dry. You can get one for relatively cheap on Amazon too! I recently purchased THIS one and its worked really well so far!

5.) Invest in THIS noise machine. It is not super expensive but I definitely saw a-lot of cheaper ones around and I have not had good luck with them. This one hooks up to your phone and you can control it from there. I never thought I would be a noise machine person either. A few months back when I was traveling for work I was in a hotel that was super loud with the city streets right below me and the noise machine was a life saver! Now I cant sleep without it.

6.) Go to sleep at the same time each night. This really helps in regulating your sleep cycle. Even on weekends. I know its not always doable but if you can try to go to sleep within the same hour each night I really think this has helped me so much.

7.) Use a heating pad- this sounds like it may not work but THIS one I purchased is filled with rice and Lavender and it smells so good once you heat it up in the microwave. I think its so relaxing to use before bed!

8.) My last tip and probably one of the most important ones is to ditch the phone and TV at least a half an hour before bed! Basically, the blue light from your phone overstimulates your brain and interferes with the production of melatonin in your brain which is the hormone that helps your body sleep. So if you are lacking in melatonin, which is usually why people cant sleep, changing up your routine of watching tv and looking at your phone before bed may help!
