Red White and Blue Drink Pouches

RED, WHITE AND BLUE DRINK POUCHES

These Red, White and Blue Margarita Slushy drink pouches are such a festive treat for the 4th of July! I love making these fun drink- and the best part is you can leave the alcohol out if you’d like to! You can also opt to use any Red, White and Blue drink mixes it doesn’t have to be margarita mix.

This recipe is made in layers and comes out best when you freeze each layer for at least half an hour. Start with the red mix and add it to a blender with ice. Blend it and add it to the pouches. Make sure its slushy enough so they layers don’t mix. I use about 3-4 full cups of ice for each layer. Free this layer and then move on to the white layer and then blue. You an also switch up the order of the colors!

RED, WHITE AND BLUE DRINK POUCHES

Ingredients

Red Layer

  • 3-4 cups ice
  • Strawberry or watermelon drink mix (i made frozen margaritas but you can do any drink frozen)
  • tequila (or any other drink of choice I did about 2.5 oz)

White Layer

  • 3-4 cups ice
  • pina colada mix
  • tequila (about 2.5 ounce)

Blue Layer

  • 3-4 cups ice
  • 1.5 oz tequila
  • 2 oz. blue curaçao
  • 3 oz lime juice

Instructions

  • Make each layer of margarita separately by blending all ingredients in a high powered blender washing in between.Pour each layer into a pouch or cup and freeze for 20-40 minutes between layers is you can. If not I find it helpful to tilt the pouch on its side and pour the slushy mixture in that way. Freeze until ready to serve! (They won’t freeze since there is alcohol in them)

Notes

Notes: The layers and flavors will eventually mix together but these still taste delicious!
